DeBear MLB Bracket Challenge allows you the opportunity to predict the winners of each playoff matchup, all the way to the World Series champions. Once each real-life matchup is complete, your entry will score if you selected the correct winner. How long will your bracket remain perfect?
Simply by winning their matchup! Whether it's a sweep or goes to a deciding game in the series, all that matters is selecting the correct team that moves on (or lifts the World Series trophy!).
In the first instance, ties are broken by the proximity of their tiebreaker answer to the total number of runs scored in the World Series. There is no distinction between a tiebreaker answer being above or below the actual total – one above is considered more accurate than two below, and one below is more accurate than two above.
Where entries entered an equivalent answer to the tiebreaker, they are then split based on how deep into the playoffs they made their first incorrect answer, and for those still tied, the latest round in which a correct selection was made.
Where ties remain between entries after all of these have been applied, they are considered equal.
